PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PICTURE AND PICTURE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERFIKIR LOGIS SISWA PADA BANGUN DATAR DI KELAS IV MI

Abstrak

This study aims to improve students' logical thinking skills in the topic of flat shapes by implementing the Picture and Picture learning model in class IV MI Miftahul Ulum Banyuputih Kidul, Lumajang. First, students' logical thinking is analyzed based on three indicators: logical sequence of thought, argumentation skills, and drawing conclusions. Second, this research uses a descriptive qualitative method with 37 students as subjects. Data were collected through written tests of mathematical logical thinking skills and semi-structured observations. Data analysis was conducted to identify improvements in students' mathematical logical thinking skills in each measured indicator. Third, the results show that the Picture and Picture model, which uses images as the primary medium, helps students organize information systematically, present logical arguments, and draw conclusions in a directed manner. The application of this model significantly improves students' logical thinking skills through active, critical, and enjoyable learning. The Picture and Picture learning model is recommended as an effective teaching strategy to enhance learning outcomes in mathematics, particularly in the mastery of flat shapes.
